Weekend single-vehicle crash kills one

One person is dead and another was injured after an early Saturday morning single-vehicle accident in Shubenacadie.

Enfield RCMP Cpl. Andy Kerr said a 34-year-old woman from the Lantz area died in the incident that occurred about 2 a.m. on Highway 224. She was the passenger in the vehicle, but has not been identified yet.

The driver of the vehicle, an unidentified male, was taken to hospital in Halifax with undisclosed injuries.

The Enfield RCMP is investigating the accident.
