Freddie Gray died in hospital yesterday, a week after his neck was broken as he was arrested by white Baltimore police a week ago. The black 27-year-old’s family wants an independent investigation.

Israel’s PM formed a government

Benjamin Netanyahu asked president Reuven Rivlen an additional fortnight to set up his government. He’s busy negotiating with ultra-right-wing and orthodox parties to create what will be the country’s most right-wing coalition ever.
