A White House staffer’s lover’s quarrel reportedly resulted in a hefty $75,000 bail after police arrested the staffer for shooting at cop boyfriend.

The Special Assistant to the President and House Legislative Affairs Liaison, Barvetta Singletary, 37, fired shots on Friday after accusing her cop boyfriend of cheating on her, reported Fox 8.

Singletary had invited her cop boyfriend over for sex but then at about 5:30 a.m. on Friday, an argument erupted.

The officer refused to giveSingletaryaccess to his phone, which she demanded. In a fit of jealousy, she allegedly grabbed his two cell phones and a .40 caliber Glock 23 weapon from his bag, according to police.

“You taught me how to use this. Don’t think I won’t use it,” Singletary allegedly said after pointing the gun at him, according to the arrest warrant.

The boyfriend, a U.S. Capitol Police Officer, ran out of the house after Singletary fired shots at the sofa where he was sitting. He called 911 and the authorities came toSingletary’s house and arrested her for first- and second degree assault and reckless endangerment, reported NBC Washington.

Singletary was released Monday after paying bail. According to a White House spokesperson, she has been put on unpaid leave from her position at the White House until further notice.
