A man claiming that he was humiliated daily at a Chelsea Whole Foods has now filed suit against the company alleging discrimination.

Victor Alexander King, 21, filed a lawsuit on Saturday in Manhattan stating that Whole Foods staff discriminated against him in connection to his transgender status, the New York Post has reported.

King claimed that he was referred to as “she, her, or it” at work and that one supervisor allegedly told him, “I know you are not a guy. I am not going to refer to you as a guy,” the Post stated.

King quit working at Whole Foods in March after the insults allegedly continued even after supervisors had sensitivity training, according to the Post.

While a company spokesperson said that Whole Foods has not yet reviewed the lawsuit, the company has “long celebrated diversity,” the Post added.
