Drivers heading through the Sumner Tunnel yesterday witnessed a man get hit by a baseball bat and stabbed, according to police reports.
The victim, who was allegedly attacked by four other men near the busy traffic tunnel, went to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A Boston Police spokesman said around 1:30 p.m. yesterday officers responded to the scene where the victim had collapsed after allegedly being hit with a bat and stabbed.
The attack happened near Porter Street in East Boston, according to police reports.
