A woman suffered serious injuries during an assault Monday morning.
At 2:26 a.m., the Ottawa police responded to a 911 call in the 200 block of Donald Street regarding a woman found in the lobby with serious injuries.
Paramedics treated a 40-year-old woman and transported her to hospital, were she is in serious but stable condition.
A short time later, police arrested a male suspect in relation to this incident. At the time of his arrest, the 45-year-old man appeared to be in medical distress. He was taken to hospital, where he is in serious condition.
Police continue to investigate.
