A woman in her 20s was killed this weekend when she fell down a shaft in a Fort Point building.
The unidentified woman was on the roof of 231 Summer St. on Saturday night when she fell, authorities said. Police did not release her name as of yesterday, but did say that the fall appears to be accidental.
Fire crews responded to the seven-story building about 8:30 p.m., but it took a while to find the woman because the person with her did not know where the blind shaft led to, fire officials said.
The woman was on the roof with others and fell from the seventh floor to the third floor. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two of the woman’s friends were taken away in an ambulance after her body was found, the Globe reported.
