And enough of the talk of Spain and the Netherlands choking on soccer’s biggest stage.
The first Cup on African soil is going to have a Euro champ. Spain beat Germany 1-0 yesterday on Carles Puyol’s header, clinching a spot in Sunday’s final against the Dutch.
“La Furia Roja” is in its first-ever World Cup title game after winning the European crown in 2008.
The Netherlands’ Oranje, meanwhile, lost a pair of tournament finals in the 1970s.
Only this much is certain: One will win its first world championship this weekend.
