Opening statements are set to begin Tuesday in the murder trial of Ernest Wallace following the selection of the final three jurors, Fox Boston reported.

Wallace is a friend of former New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez and is charged with helping Hernandez kill Odin Lloyd in June 2013, according to media reports.

Lloyd was dating the sister of Hernandez's fiancée at the time, according to Fox. He was shot to death and his body was found in North Attleborough.

Prosecutors said that Wallace and another man, Carlos Ortiz, were with Hernandez on the night of Lloyd's killing and they are both being tried under the joint venture theory. According to WCVB, Ortiz is going on trial in June. 

Wallace has denied the charges and pleaded not guilty.

Hernandez was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison in Lloyd's death, according to media reports.
