A former nanny has been sentenced to prison after admitting to stealing over $200,000 from the family she worked for, WCVB reported. 

Stephanie Fox, 30, was sentenced to 40 months in prison on Thursday by a U.S. District Court and ordered to repay her former employers for the money she stole using fraudulent checks over the course of 18 months.

“As a part of her deal, Fox — who pleaded guilty to bank fraud — was ordered to surrender a diamond pendant and three Movado watches she bought with her ill-gotten gains,” The Boston Herald reported. “She also bought expensive vacations to Aruba, Cape Cod and Disney resorts.”

Fox reportedly confessed to her crimes after she was caught by her employers. The Herald reported that Fox, who has a “criminal history, which includes prior larceny and identity theft convictions” could have faced 30 years in prison.
