Cape Cod police offer drug dealers free tax help

One Massachusetts police department is taking a unique approach to finding drug dealers by offering them free tax services.

On Thursday, the Bourne, Massachusetts, police department posted an “advertisement” on its Facebook page, enticing drug dealers to allow the department to assist them with any tax-related questions.

“Our certified drug transaction reporting specialists will be available 24/7, free of charge, to assist you with analyzingyour business dealings,” the Facebook post promised. “Our specialists will sit down with you and go over the details of your operation.”

In an effort to net as many customers as possible, the ad encouraged referrals.

“Great referral benefits if you bring business partners or refer our services to your friends!” the police claimed.

So far, the ad has received over 11,000 likes and nearly 5,000 shares.
