The home game day will kick off with a pre-game show from Boston-bred GD cover band, Playing Dead, inYawkeyWay. As for the game — oh right, that! — the Sox will take on the Baltimore Orioles at around 7 p.m., when Dead Heads spill into Fenway for the grooviest night of the year. The Grateful Dead Night at Fenway began when the team hosted their first ever tribute to the late Jerry Garcia in September 2015. The event was such a fan-favorite that they’ve brought it back in April of 2016, and again this year. Each year has boasted its own limited-edition Dead-Sox memorabilia, but we personally find the bear trio to be the best yet.
