The Red Sox will pay tribute to the Grateful Dead once again on April 11th at Fenway Park. The home game day will kick off with a pre-game show from Boston-bred GD cover band, Playing Dead, in Yawkey Way. Ticket holders to the annual event will also receive a limited edition Grateful Dead Night figurine — which depicts three dancing bears, one in Sox gear, looking slightly more alert than its counterparts — and a portion of sales will go toward the Dead’s official service and philanthropy charity, Rex Foundation.

As for the game — oh right, that! — the Sox will take on the Baltimore Orioles at around 7 p.m., when Dead Heads spill into Fenway for the grooviest night of the year. The Grateful Dead Night at Fenway began when the team hosted their first ever tribute to the late Jerry Garcia in September 2015. The event was such a fan-favorite that they’ve brought it back in April of 2016, and again this year. Each year has boasted its own limited-edition Dead-Sox memorabilia, but we personally find the bear trio to be the best yet.

Worth noting, Dead & Company — the John Mayer-fronted, post-Garcia edition of the Dead — will also return to Fenway for two nights of shows, June 17-18.
