An investigation was underway Wednesday after a man was shot and killed in Dorchester, police said.

Boston Police responded to a report of a person shot on Shepton Street at a 12:15 a.m. Tuesday. Police said they found a man in his 20’s suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene. 

Officials identified the victim as Dominic Owens, 21, of Boston.
