Service on the Red Line at Alewife reopened following a two-hour closure Wednesday after investigators found a body on the tracks, according to the MBTA.
Trips resumed just before 1 p.m., the agency tweeted.
The victim, a man, has not been identified.
The T announced the disruption between Davis and the Cambridge terminal station around 10:45 a.m. Shuttle buses replaced trips between the two stations temporarily.
Emergency vehicles and personnel descended on the station, pictures posted to social media show.
Investigators do not suspect foul play, according to MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo.
