A mother and her five-month-old son were rushed to Boston Medical Center late Wednesday night with critical life-threatening injuries after they were hit by a car, CBS Boston reported. “Lanaii Tolentino, who lives steps from the scene, said she heard the screeching tires and screams, ran out of her house, and found the infant girl lying in the street,” The Boston Herald reported. RELATED:Officials searchBostonHarbor and Charles River for missing 22-year-old Harvard, Massachusetts “I just tried to help the baby,” Tolentino told the Herald. “We laid her down on my sister’s coat, and I just tried to help her. She wasn’t breathing. She had foam coming out of her mouth. I just tried to do whatever I could. Her ears were bleeding.” Tolentino said the child was “limp and lifeless.”
Tolentino and her sister reportedly tried their best to resuscitate the child with chest compressions before emergency crews arrived.
