An arrest has been made in connection to the Halloween stabbing of an Everett High School quarterback. Police on Wednesday arrested 19-year-old Osmin Murcia of Everett without incident, Everett Police said in a statement.
Police believe Murcia stabbed Marvens Fedna, 16, in the early hours of Nov. 1 after Fedna’s team’s playoff victory. Fedna had been walking home from a party when he was stabbed in the back and hand at the corner of Broadway and Chestnut Street, according to police. Murcia was held without bail in Malden District Court pending a dangerous hearing scheduled for Dec. 4, the Boston Globe reported. The arrest came after an “intense and detailed” investigation, Everett Police Chief Steven Mazzie said in a statement.
“Hopefully this brings some closure to all involved,” Mazzie said.
