On Monday night, Star Wars: The Force Awakens director JJ Abrams revealed on The Tonight Show that he collaborated with Miranda on music for "our own version" of the Mos Eisley Cantina scene in the new film.
Abrams was seeing “Hamilton” when he was approached by Miranda, who offered to compose a song specifically for the cantina band — a job that the film’s composer, John Williams, had apparently asked Abrams to farm out. Here's how it all came together:
