When a Tony Award-winning composer begins writing music for lounge acts, something probably went wrong in his life. Except when that composer is Lin-Manuel Miranda, creator and star of theBroadway musicalHamilton.

On Monday night, Star Wars: The Force Awakensdirector JJ Abrams revealed on The Tonight Showthat he collaborated with Miranda on music for “ourown version” of the Mos EisleyCantina scene in the new film.

Abrams was seeing “Hamilton” when he was approached by Miranda, who offered to compose a song specifically for the cantina band — a job thatthe film’s composer, John Williams, had apparently asked Abramsto farm out. Here’s how it all came together:

After the interview, Mirandaelaborated on Twitter, saying they wrote the song between performances on Saturdays, when Hamilton has a matinee and evening show. In case you thought you were too busy to take on a new project.

How Abrams was apparently never spotted coming or going from the Richard Rodgers Theatre, whereclose to 1,000 peoplegather for a chance at tickets through the show’s lottery, is the real mystery. Maybe all that special effects tinkering that George Lucas loves is finally being used for good?

And finally, because two great tastes are even better as a mashup, use your lunch hour to catch up on the hashtag #Force4Ham, where the Internet is putting Star Wars images to Hamilton lyrics:

May the Force be with you while trying to get anything done for the next half hour.
