As excited as we were about the return of "The X-Files," it wasn't a proper affair until all of the major players were onboard. Well, grab your masking tape and keep your eyes on the sky for UFOs, because last night everyone's favorite put-upon FBI director Mitch Pileggisent the perfect tweet to announce he'll be reprising his role.

Series creator Chris Carter and the aforementioned "wayward kids,"David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, have already signed on for the six-episode run to air on Fox, 13 years after the showended.

Besides the aliens and government conspiracies, we expect an answer to the very real mystery of how this cast has only gotten better with age.
