Just as Boston area residents got done shoveling out, more snow was expected for the region on Tuesday.

Up to four inches of snow was expected to fall in Boston through 1 a.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service. Much of Greater Boston was likely to see between two and four inches of snow, the NWS forecasted on Tuesday evening.

The Worcester area could see up to six inches of snow.

The flakes were expected to start falling in Boston at about 11 a.m. and the majority of the snow was expected to fall through 8 p.m.

Cold temperatures were expected to continue on Tuesday with a high of 29 degrees forecasted for Boston.

If the snow and cold wasn’t a sign that winter has hit Boston, the recent vandalism over parking space savers in South Boston is a sure signal that winter is here.
