Search intensifies for missing Swampscott woman

Police are continuing to search for the missing 25-year-old Swampscott woman who was last seen last Thursday.

The Salem News reports that more than 100 police from the surrounding area are now scouring a swath of that town.

Police have already found an array of Jaimee Mendez’s belongings, including an ID, cell phone and a jacket near a Salem office park, according to Boston.com. Authorities later found her sneakers in a Dumpster near a Lynn CVS.

According to WCVB, Mendez is diabetic and cannot be without her medication, which she last took on Thursday, the last time she was seen.

Her family also said she was with a known Level-3 sex offender from Lynn before she disappeared.
