Boyfriend suspected in Queens woman’s murder after body found in car trunk

Boyfriend suspected in Queens woman’s murder after body found in car trunk

Police are searching for a Queens man after the decomposing body of his missing girlfriend was stuffed in a car trunk Thursday night.

Cops made the gruesome discovery at about 8:30 p.m. after receiving a call of a suspicious vehicle parked near 22nd Avenue and Murray Street in Whitestone, police said. A “foul odor” emanating from the trunk led them to the body, which had stab wounds to the torso.

Officials later identified the victim as a 28-year-old missing Queens woman, Angie Escobar.

Escobar was last seen at her Queens Village residence around 11 p.m. on Sept. 4. The car where her body was found, belonged to her father, police said.

Luis Zambrano, Escobar’s 30-year-old boyfriend was last seen driving vehicle, which was discovered that far from his home.

Authorities are now looking for Zambrano, who is a suspect in his significant other’s murder. He’s described as bald, 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 200 pounds.
