The NYPD has released the names and identities of the four young men arrested as suspects in the Brooklyn gang rape of an 18-year-old girl. Of the four suspects, two were apprehended by police and two surrendered into custody.

The rape, which has grabbed the attention of the country, took place on Thursday, January 7, at 9:10 p.m., when the victim and her father were approached in a park by a group of men, one of whom had a gun.

“The male with the gun pointed it at them and told the father to leave the area. The father complied, and each one of the five suspects raped the victim,” police explained in a report. “The father returned a short time later with two uniformed police officers, and the suspects fled the location. The victim was removed to Kings County Hospital where she was treated and released.”

Police are still seeking a fifth suspect.

Shaquell Cooper, 15 year-old male

Charges: Rape – forcible compulsion, two counts of criminal sex, and sex abuse

Ethan Phillip, 15 year-old male

Charges:Rape – forcible compulsion, two counts of criminal sex, and sex abuse

Onandi Brown, 17 year-old male

Charges: Rape – forcible compulsion, two counts of criminal sex, and sex abuse
