White House unveils Melania Trump’s official portrait

Melania Trump White House portrait.
She may not live at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. yet, but President Donald Trump now at least has his first lady Melania Trump’s official portrait to keep him company.

Released Monday, the FLOTUS portrait was “taken in her new residence,” a statement from the White House said.

The former model wears a sharp black blazer over a black bow shirt and has a 25-carat diamond ring on full display.

The bauble was a 10th anniversary present from her husband, whom she married in January 2005. According to Vogue, the first lady prefers to wear the anniversary ring in portraits instead of her $1.5 million 12-carat engagement ring.

“I am honored to serve in the role of First Lady and look forward to working on behalf of the American people over the coming years,” Trump said in a statement.

The first lady “cares deeply about issues impacting women and children, and she has focused her platform as First Lady on the problem of cyber bullying among our youth,” her official White House page says.

Trump and her 10-year-old son, Barron, are said to be moving into the White House from their penthouse home in New York’s Trump Tower after his school year ends.
