AL QAEDA 'PRINCE' KILLED
Number two in command of Al Qaeda's arm in the Arab Peninsula, and former private secretary to Osama Bin Laden, Nasir al-Wuhayshi was killed in a U.S. drone strike on Yemen. He was such a big cheese that the U.S. State Department had offered a $10m bounty for his capture, reports the BBC.
FORMER EGYPT PRESIDENT JAILED
Mohamed Morsi, the Islamist leader who was the country's first democratically-elected president, was sentenced to life in jail over spying charges, reports The Guardian. He's also expected to be sentenced today over a mass jail break in 2011.
