5 things you need to know about Marc Jacobs’ fall 2015 show

The designer’s inspiration for the dark, stand-out collection was the legendary editrix Diane Vreeland.

He showed polished silhouettes: coats, midi dresses and skirt suits in moody checks or solid dark shades embellished with stripes of glossy black beads, panels of vampy lace, metallic brocades, grommets, sequins and studs. The statement plaid coats came with fur covered sleeves and the column gowns with splatters of sequins.
