Are you ready for “Weiner,” the documentary about Anthony Weiner and his attempt to make a comeback in the political world with his (unsuccessful) run for mayor of New York?

Sundance Select has acquired the rights to the documentary which had extensive access to the politician’s life, Variety reports.

“‘Weiner’ takes place in 2013, when Weiner (trying to recover from a sexting scandal that forced him to resign from Congress in 2011) attempts a comeback run as mayor of New York,” Variety explains. “But his campaign doesn’t get far before new allegations derail his message of repentance, and the filmmakers chronicle this period with considerable access to the politician.”

The film is apparently packed with tons of juicy moments, the New York Timesexplains:

“As the second scandal unfolds in July 2013, Mr. Weiner is shown panicking; misleading the news media; and, at one point, racing through the back halls of a McDonald’s to avoid a woman with whom he traded inappropriate texts, whom his campaign code-named ‘Pineapple.'”

The film, which was directed by Josh Kriegman and Elyse Steinber, is set to premiere at Sundance on Jan. 24.
