A security dog sniffed out 13 pounds of cocaine at JFK airport while the suspect had her bags checked.

Officials with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection said in Wednesday that K-9 Elza smelled something funny in a suitcase belonging to American citizen Tricia Ann D’Aguiar late last month.

Agents found six bags labeled as powdered milk and custard that tested positive for cocaine. The illegal haul had a street value of about $230,000.

D’Aguiar, the suspect, flew in from Georgetown, Guyana and was handcuffed at the airport soon after.

She now faces federal narcotics smuggling charges to be prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney with New York’s Eastern District Court
