Eastie stabbing update: Police ID victim as 15-year-old boy

UPDATE 3:37 p.m.: Police have identified the victim of a fatal stabbing in East Boston as 15-year-old Wilson Martinez of East Boston.

Martinez’ body was found on the shore line on Constitution Beach.

” No piece of information is too small to be helpful,” Conley said. “Every piece of evidence, no matter how peripheral it may seem, is important.”

A man spotted Martinez’ body near the waterline near the East Boston Yacht Club at about 8 a.m on Monday and flagged down a nearby State trooper.

He was found the day before school started in Boston.

11:30 a.m.: Authorities are looking into a fatal stabbing in East Boston.

A passer by reported finding the body of a man on Constitution Beach near the East Boston Yacht Club early Monday morning.

The State Police are looking into the circumstances surrounding this death. According to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, the man suffered from several stab wounds, but the Chief Medical Examiner will ultimately determine the cause of death.

A spokesman for the DA’s office said that the body did not appear to have washed up on shore.

The victim has not been identified.
