The world may be a steaming pile of garbage this week, but at least you, lucky New Yorker, can kvetch about it over a steaming cup of free coffee this weekend.
Café Bustelo is bringing back its pop-up coffee shop, this time in NoLita at 371 Broome St. from Oct. 13-15.
The entire menu of Cuban-inspired coffees is free: iced or hot coffee, cortadito, cafecito or cafe con leche. The office-less are welcome to set up shop and use the free wi-fi and phone charging stations.
To go with your espresso-fueled buzz, the East Harlem brand (keeping you caffeinated since 1931) is also bringing Latin-inspired entertainment to the cafe. Enjoy the sounds of live bands and DJs, try your hips at some samba dancing, learn how latte art gets made and watch a coffee-themed mural come to life over the course of the weekend.
The Café Bustelo pop-up is open 8 a.m.-7 p.m. daily through Sunday.
