Venom – Fall Movies 2018

In theaters: October 5th

Director Ruben Fleischer is taking Marvel’s most terrifying anti-hero to the big screen with Tom Hardy playing the role of Eddie Brock and his alien symbiote alter ego “Venom”. This hard R rated flick is promising an uncompromising take on this character that is bound to be much more brutal than Topher Grace’s portrayal from Spider-Man 3. The film also stars Michelle Williams and Riz Ahmed.

A Star Is Born – Fall Movies 2018

Release date: October 5th

Bradley Cooper co-wrote, directed, and stars this remake of the classic film as Jackson Maine, a famous Americana musician who falls in love and mentors an unknown singer played by Lady Gaga. Even though the film isn’t out until next month, it has garnered some resoundingly positive reviews and has already reached a 95% rating through Rotten Tomatoes. With original songs written by such heavy hitters as Jason Isbell and Lukas Nelson, this could be the next in a long line of music-centric films with Oscar in its sights.

First Man – Fall Movies 2018

Release date: October 12th

Damien Chazelle’s new biopic on the life of Neil Armstrong will bring his vibrant cinematic style into the stratosphere. The film stars Chazelle’s La La Land collaborator Ryan Gosling as the American hero and first man to walk on the moon.

Halloween – Fall Movies 2018

Release date: October 19th

David Gordon Green and Danny McBride’s entry into the Michael Myers saga is forgetting all of the other films in the Halloween franchise except for the very first film. The film picks up with Jamie Lee Curtis reprising her classic role as Laurie Strode years after that fateful night dead set on keeping trick-or-treaters safe from her serial killer brother and ending his reign of terror once and for all.

Suspiria – Fall Movies 2018

Release date: October 26th

Dakota Johnson and Tilda Swinton star in this remake of the classic Italian horror film. Directed by Call Me By Your Name director Luca Guadagnino, this new retelling looks as though it will be maintaining the same eery feel of the original Dario Argento film. Plus, the film will feature an original score by Radiohead’s Thom Yorke to add to this classic nightmarish story.

Bohemian Rhapsody – Fall Movies 2018

Release date: November 2nd

Fans of the band Queen have been freaking out after seeing the first looks as Mr. Robot actor Rami Malek as the legendary singer Freddie Mercury. And for good reason. The resemblance is absolutely uncanny. The film promises to show the band’s rise to stardom as well as Mercury’s untimely death from the AIDS virus in 1991.

Boy Erased – Fall Movies 2018

Release date: November 2nd

This drama, written and directed by Australian actor Joel Edgerton, follows the son of a Baptist pastor who is forced by his family to attend a gay-conversion therapy camp. Manchester By the Sea and Lady Bird actor Lucas Hedges stars in the film along with Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald – Fall Movies 2018

Widows – Fall Movies 2018
