After Week 2 feasted on running backs and Week 3 claimed a bevy of injured wide receivers it turns out quarterbacks are next, as Week 4 injuries plagued some of the top signal callers in football.

Here’s a fantasy football-framed view of the latest news on some quarterbacks, and a few others who hold a high level of interest for fantasy owners:

Cam Newton, Panthers
The dynamic MVP’s status for Week 5 is unknown after the QB took a big goalline hit and was taken out for concussion-like symptoms and replaced by Derek Anderson. Anderson led two touchdown-scoring drives before throwing an interception and ultimately losing to the Falcons Sunday. We wouldn’t recommend rolling with Anderson against the Bucs next Monday if Newton isn’t ready to return.

Carson Palmer, Cardinals
The Cardinals QB also left Sunday’s game after an ugly hit and was kept out due to concussion concerns. Drew Stanton threw two interceptions in relief, and will likely get the nod to start on short rest Thursday night. Stanton is also an undesirable waiver pickup.

Trevor Siemian, Broncos
There is more optimism for the Broncos than the Cardinals or Panthers, as Siemian’s shoulder injury has him day-to-day. Ruled as a sprained AC Joint, Broncos coach Gary Kubiak told the media Monday:”Our plans moving forward are for Trevor to be there Sunday.”

Chris Johnson, Cardinals
More bad news for the Cardinals came Sunday as backuprunning back Johnson is left with a groin injury following Sunday’s Week 4 loss. His status against the 49ers is unknown, pending an MRI on Monday. David Johnson will get the majority of the carries either way, so this shouldn’t be a huge blow to fantasy owners.

Devin Funchess, Panthers
He’s technically the No. 2 wideout in Carolina but hasn’t played like it. Which is why his toe injury, one that forced him out of his Week 4 game early and leaves him questionable for Week 5, is not a huge hit for fantasy owners.
