Heavy thunderstorms beginning Thursday that are predicted to continue tomorrow have moved the scheduled victory party for Hillary Clinton indoors.
Clinton, who is to be nominated for president at the Democratic National Convention tonight, scheduled an afternoon post-DNC victory party at Philly’s Independence Mall for Friday.
“This event is moving indoors to Temple University due to the threat of significant rain, thunder and lightning,” the campaign announced Thursday around 12:30 p.m.
The rally has been moved toMcGonigle Hall at Temple University,1800 N. Broad St. in North Philadelphia.
Clinton will be joined by her husband Bill Clinton, running mate Tim Kaine and Kaine’s wife Anne Holton. The two will be taking a “jobs-focused” campaign tour through swing states Pennsylvania and Ohio after the DNC concludes. Doors will open to the public at 9:30 a.m., and the rally will begin around noon.
