The event you must check out If you’re interested in getting a graduate degree

The job market in the United States gets more competitive every day. A bachelor’s degree used to be all that you really needed to secure a great job and start climbing the corporate ladder.

However, with so many qualified workers having a bachelor’s degree in today’s world, it can be hard to stand out from the crowd when applying for jobs. A graduate degree can certainly help you stand out from the rest of applicants. So how do you get accepted into grad school and get started pursuing your career goals?

Meet with Schools You’re Interested In

Did you know that it’s recommended that you apply to at least 3 schools? These are called your safety, match, and reach schools. Your safety school is said to be one where your qualifications (such as years of work experience and/or test scores) are significantly higher than the average student. If your GPA is higher than the average student and so are your GRE/GMAT scores, then this is most likely your safety school. Your match is a school where your qualifications closely match those of incoming students or are even slightly above. A reach school is one where your qualifications are similar to the average student or slightly below.

It would definitely be hard to visit and meet with admissions professionals for numerous safety, reach, and match schools so not why attend an event that gives you the opportunity to meet with numerous schools all under one roof? At the free-to-attend QS World Grad School Tour, you’ll get to meet with top graduate schools from around the world. You’ll get to speak face-to-face with admission officers and network with alumni and attendees. And – to top it off, this FREE event is coming to Boston on January 22nd. So how can you make the most of it?

Meeting face-to-face with graduate schools at the QS fair and making a great impression is a good place to start.
