The perfect party appetizer

Holiday hosting tips from Kris Schoels of The Chic Wife

Entertaining expert Kris Schoels of the Chic Wife shows us how to throw a stress-free party.

Use smart short cuts
I love working with ingredients that do half the work for me, like Nasoya Egg Roll and Won Ton Wraps,” says Schoels. “Simply bake with a dollop of your favorite filling and serve—it's that easy.”

Go utensil-free
Hand held and bite sized foods are great for entertaining,” says Schoels. “These allow guests to walk around and have conversations without trying to balance larger plates filled with food. “

Mix casual with elegant
Don’t drop a paycheck on a party says the expert.
Instead, “mix more casual items with upscale touches to make the evening feel special,” she says. “For example, serve a gourmet cheese plate with a more affordable wine, like Prosecco.”
