A teen bus passenger was tossed to the street on Tuesday morning after getting into a physical altercation with an MTA driver.

According to reports, the as-yet-unidentified boy boarded a bus in Jamaica, Queens and told the driver he didn’t have money to pay the fare, when the driver refused to move the vehicle until he exited.

A shoving match ensued, with the driver yelling, ““I’ve been here 25 years; you ain’t even 25 years old.” The boy was eventually kicked off the vehicle, and police arrested him for criminal mischief.

“Bus operators are instructed to avoid any type of altercation in cases involving fare evasion,” an MTA spokesperson said in a statement, before adding that the “incident is under investigation.”

UPDATE: The MTA driver involved in the incident has since been suspended by the MTA, according to NY1. A spokesperson for the transit system declined to comment on how long the driver’s suspension will last.
