New Bushwick eatery offers free karaoke to diners in January

While you’re brainstorming activities to distract yourself from the inauguration/impending doomsday, here’s a classic one: karaoke! The world slips away and all that matters is your voice, the mic and belting out “Total Eclipse of the Heart.” (Ignore the haters, you’re killing it.)

As a winter (re)treat, Sandome, a new restaurant in Brooklyn, is offering an hour of free karaoke to diners during the month of January, the owners tell Bushwick Daily.

The Korean and Japanese fusion restaurant, which opened its doors Jan. 6. on Broadway Ave. along the Bed-Stuy/Bushwick border, features three karaoke rooms, which are first-come, first-served. Post-January, prices to reserve a room range from $45/hour for up to 12 guests, to $125/hour for as many as 30.

As for the eats: the menu spans Korean favorites from bibimbap to bulgogi; poke (served as a burrito, bowl or salad); signature celebrity-named sushi rolls (Beyonce is tuna, salmon and king crab; Jay-Z, just shrimp and king crab); and a variety of rice and noodle offerings, from ramen and udon to pineapple spam fried rice.

Oh, and plenty of sake— err, to soothe your voice after one too many showstoppers.
