New York City is under a flash flood warning until 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
Showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue through Tuesday evening, with an additional inch of new rain possible through the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
The rains could continue on Wednesday, with a 20 percent chance of precipitation and a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m.

The skies will clear on Thursday and Friday, with sunny skies and highs in the mid-80s expected before showers move in again on Saturday afternoon.
