A 5-year-old Delaware Country boy died after being struck by lightning while on vacation with his family.
Stephen Little, of Lansdowne, was on a beach in Carova, North Carolina, andtrying to seek shelter from a looming thunderstorm in an SUV when he was struck, according to Philly.com.

The boy went into cardiac arrest and was rushed to Sentara Princess Anne Hospital in Virginia Beach around 4 p.m., Pix11 reported. Little suffered from traumatic burns and died in the hospital around 6 p.m.
Ten percent of people struck by lightning are killed each year, the National Weather Service estimates.
