Weeks of sporadic showers and dropping temperatures fade away this week as meteorologists predict sunshine through the weekend.

High pressure that came over the weekend would kick off a full seven days of sun and above-average temperatures, according to the National Weather Service.

The week begins with a high near 54 degrees that will drop as low as 38 by Monday evening. Winds will persist throughout the day, going as strong as 9 m.p.h. at night.

High temperatures drop on Tuesday and Wednesday, expected to stay below 50 degrees again with strong winds. Evenings should stay in the low 40s.

Friday will be mostly sunny and again stay in the mid 50s, with evening cloud coverage keeping the night at around 43 degrees.
