Boston Mayor Marty Walsh and Red Sox players departed Logan Airport on Tuesday to help bring 10 tons of supplies to Puerto Rico, which is still recovering from a devastating hurricane in September.
Among those to head to the island is Red Sox manager Alex Cora is originally from Puerto Rico. Cora told media at a cargo area of Logan, "[If you] concentrate only on San Juan, the metropolitan area, the tourism, you know, where people go just to hang out and that looks great, but go to the mountains — go to where we're gonna be today. On a daily basis, they're in need."
