They say that money can’t buy you happiness, but it sure can buy you a $100 million view, and with it the satisfaction of looking down on the unhappy middle class plebes and their little lives.
News broke this weekend that the penthouse unit for One57 on 157 W. 57th St sold for a record breaking $100 million. The identity of the buyer has been kept secret, but we’re hoping that our long lost rich uncle will be calling us up soon to invite us to live in his ivory tower.
One57 is just one in a series of super-tall towers that have sprouted up on what real estate insiders (as well as anyone who cares about this sort of stuff) call Billionaire’s Row. New Yorker’s can reportedly expect to see six super tall residential towers climb up from 57th street in the next decade.
In an effort to encourage you to start saving up for something you’ll never, ever be able to afford, we have decided to give you a little tour (via some jaw dropping renderings) of what wealth looks like in its physical incarnation.
