Police hail arrest of ‘alleged major cocaine trafficker’

A 28-year-old Boston woman, whom authorities referred to as “an alleged major cocaine trafficker” has been arrested.

YannaHernandez-Mora was arrested by StonehamPoliceMonday after conducting surveillance of a Main Street parking lot. Detectives found 25 bags of cocaine — about 25 grams on Hernandez-Mora’s person and $1,200 cash in her Toyota Prius, according to police.

She now faces a cocaine trafficking charge and is expected to be arraigned in Woburn today.

Hernandez-Mora faces a prison sentence between two and 15 years if convicted.

According to police, she had been “the target of a heroin and cocaine trafficking investigation in Stoneham and other communities.”

“We allege that Ms. Hernandez-Mora was a major supplier of drugs in Stoneham and elsewhere, and I am proud to say that she is off the streets today,” Police Chief James McIntyre said through a statement.
