Stephen King praises ‘A Quiet Place,’ offers John Krasinski his Red Sox seats

From Ryan Reynolds to LeBron James, John Krasinski is getting a ton of praise from A-list stars for his new film “A Quiet Place.” But the best compliment of all may have come from the king of horror himself.

The actor stopped by “Late Night with Seth Meyers” on Wednesday to chat about the massive box office success of his recently released horror flick, which also stars his wife Emily Blunt. Eventually the conversation turned to all the nice tweets he’s been getting from celebrities about the movie, including the one and only Stephen King.

Krasinski admitted to the late-night host that he was shocked to receive such high praise from the famed author.

“This was mental,” Krasinski told Meyers.

“The Office” alum and Boston-bred star got more than just a few kind words from King. Krasinski told Meyers that the author, who’s a big Red Sox fan like the actor, emailed him and offered him seats at Fenway Park, as King is a noted season ticket holder at the ballpark.

“One of my favorite things was, I said, ‘Oh my god, you’re also the biggest Red Sox fan,’ and he said, ‘If you ever want my tickets,'” Krasinski revealed before acting out his faux-faint reaction to the offer.

“This keeps working out better and better for you,” Meyers joked.
