Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man wanted in connection to death of a 61-year-old Brooklyn man whose death in a fire was ruled a homicide.
On Friday, Jan. 22 at 9:07 a.m., cops responded to a residential fire at 59 Logan St. When they arrived, they found FDNY personnel already on the scene in the process of extinguishing the fire, according to authorities.
Once the fire was under control, the FDNY discovered Romulo Heras inside his apartment with a neck wound and emergency personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
According to The New York Times, Heras was found with his throat slashed and his body was covered with stab wounds. Firefighters alerted police that the death many have been a criminal act.
On Saturday night, police released images of the man they are looking to question in this incident.
