Author Stephen King is calling bullsh—t on President Donald Trump’s claim that his new tax plan is all about benefitting the middle class.
“Trump’s no friend of the working man. If you’re working for wages, brothers and sisters, he couldn’t give Shit One about you,” he tweeted on Thursday afternoon.

“Check his tax plan. Same old same old. The fat man’s busy dancing while the poor man pays the band,” he continued.

King’s not necessarily wrong, either. While it’s true Trump’s tax plan includes measures like doubling the standard minimum deduction and expanding the child tax credit sure to lower tax bills for low- and middle-income families, tax experts agree the tax savings to wealthy Americans will far outpace what middle America sees.
A New York Times analysis concluded said Trump could save more than $1 billion on his tax bills if his plan is approved — a direct contradiction to what Trump said in announcing the tax overhaul in Indianapolis on Wednesday.
“It’s not good for me, believe me,” he said.
King has been a longtime and outspoken critic of Trump, often using Twitter to voice his opinions. His messages have clearly made it through to notoriously thin-skinned Trump, who blocked the best-selling author back in June.

The tipping point for Trump to finally block King appeared to be a jab at the president’s cabinet and his daughter, Ivanka Trump.
“If Ivanka Trump had grown up in farm country, like some of us, she’d know her father is reaping exactly what he sowed,” King tweeted shortly before Trump blocked him.

But if Trump thought blocking the horror author would deter his insults, he was wrong.
Earlier this month King called Trump “severely f-cked up” for a tweet he posted mocking former opponent Hillary Clinton.
“Trump thinks hitting a woman with a golf ball and knocking her down is funny. Myself, I think it indicates a severely f-cked-up mind,” King tweeted.
