Twins or Not? The new website to help you procrastinate

The same people who brought the world “How old do I look?” have a new way to kill all your time– “Twins or Not?”

The website is essentially what it sounds like. Users upload a pair of photos (of two different people) and then using some secret twin mathematics, the computer calculates if you two are twins or not.

Metro employees and self-proclaimed “Terrible Twins” Andrea Park and Matthew Lee tried out the website and only scored a 32 percent match. Clearly, the Twin Machine needs some recalibrating. Out of both Park and Lee, 100 percent of people agree that the two are twins.

Mat Velloso, the creator of “Twins or Not?” described the background of the project on his website:

“I decided to use a few spare hours I’ve had in a hotel in Czech Republic to try another fun site: Twins Or Not.”

“This site takes two photos and will assess how similar the people in these photos are, giving you a score from 0 to a 100. This is just one of the many other amazing features our Machine Learning platform can offer.”
