New Hampshire Primary Day has a new first: a 600-pound pig was caught at a polling station Tuesday morning.

Police were called to the area of Pelham High School in response to a report that a loose pig had wandered to the facility, which was operating as a polling location, CBS reported. Police determined that the pig had come from a nearby farm.

“She spent most of the time just nosing around the entrance of the polling station, like really curious,” Matthew Reiter, who was working construction at the high school, said to the Lowell Sun. “Wanted to get in, maybe cast a ballot, I’m not sure.”

Authorities were able to contact the pig’s owner, who helped with getting the animal home, CBS added.

Reiter described the pig’s exit to the Lowell Sun: “Squad car in front, squad car behind. And a pig on a leash.”
