As the fight has gone viral online, the NYPD has announced four arrests in connection with the brawl.
Those charged include: Jorge Pena, 25, who was charged with misdemeanor assault and disorderly conduct; Kevin Gil, 21, also charged with misdemeanor assault and disorderly conduct; Danay Howard, 21, who was charged with felony assault and disorderly conduct; and Shanique Campbell, 20, who was charged with misdemeanor assault and disorderly conduct. Information on the individuals’ trial dates is forthcoming.

The F train, known for its used condom hanging from a poll, derailment, and being worse than the G train(an inexplicable feat), was the setting for a scene in which a man slapped “the soul out of [a] girl”. The incident, caught on video and beginning in medias res, shows a woman yelling at two men whilst being cheered on by her friends. There is plenty of shade being thrown and the passengers on the train look nervous and full of regret. Just when she’s proclaimed that “she’s done” and takes her seat, the man recording the video throws in his two cents about her Steve Madden shoes and has the camera promplty slapped out of his hand twice. One of the men from ealier in the video comes back into the fray and calls the woman something that would make his mother cry for which she hits him with her purse.
“What you call me?” she asks after hitting him.
He took but a second to respond with a swift open hand slap to her face that set off an all-out melee on the train.
Beware of the F(ight) train, good citizens of New York City. Beware.
