Coachella is our favorite music festival, hands down! Mostly in part due to the awesome headliners this year – hello AC/DC – but more importantly, because of the fashion. Unleashing our inner “boho chic” style is something we look forward to each year. With temperatures well over 100 degrees, the key is to find a balance between being fashion-forward and weather appropriate. Here are our six fashion tips for Coachella. 1. Prints
For every outfit, make sure at least one article of clothing has an eye-catching print onit. Floral and geometric-shaped patterns are the most common at festivals.
2. Metallic Tattoos, a.k.a. “Flash Tats”
The last accessories we recommend you bring along are the metallic (aka flash) tattoos. These temporary tats come in gold or silver and just about scream festival! Check out Alexa Losey’s collectionif you’re desperate for some flash tats! 3. Go With the Flow
Spring 2015 reintroduced the “flowy” clothing trend. This type of clothing allows your skin to breathe easier in the festival heat. Find a flowy maxi dress or skirt and add it to your suitcase; you’ll be thanking us later! 4. Cropping
We’re all in love withcrop tops this season. Pair with any high-waisted shorts, skirts, or even pants (other items to add to your festival bag!). Wrap a flannel around your waist to top off the look. 5. Knee Highs
With the temp over 100 degrees during the day and dropping down to the 50’s at night, packing shoes for Coachella can be difficult. The solution is knee high boots! Roll them down during the day and at back up at night. 6. Accessories
We can’t emphasize this one enough! Packa separate bag just for all of your accessorize. Stalk up on all “boho” or vintages pieces of jewelry. Shielding your face from the sun of course requires you to keep a pair of sunglasses on hand, unless you are wearing a fedora or snapback. Of course, the best way to channel your inner-70s wild-child is by wearing a flower crown or headband. Still aren’t sure what to wear?
