If you want to see a solid selection of Boston’s finest local musicians, head to Somerville for the annual Starlabfest on Saturday from noon to 9 p.m. at 453 Somerville Ave. Now in its sixth year, the festival offers free food and a packed day of shows put on by local bands (and one from Ohio). Admission is $10 in advance, and $12 the day of the show, and per their invite, you’re welcome to bring your pup with you — there’ll be doggie resources set up, such as water bowls, and also the adoption group PAWS New England will be in attendance. So even if you don’t have a dog, you can think about getting a dog while you rock out.
